Welcome to my music page. My love for music dates back to my elementary school days. I guess you can say my first love for music was the Jackson 5. Then came the Partridge Family. I grew up listening to all types of music. Artists such as Chicago, Three Dog Night, Sly & The Family Stone, The Fifth Dimension, Bread, Aretha Franklin, The Guess Who, Parliament Funkadelic, Hall & Oates, Luther Vandross, Sade, LTD, Wham featuring George Michael, Living Colour, Swing Out Sister, Teena Marie, The Doobie Brothers, Mariah Carey, Prince, Level 42 and just about every artist from Motown, especially Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Rare Earth and Marvin Gaye. These are just a few of the music artists that I like, lol.

In my opinion some of the best music came from the the Motown era and of course the 70's and 80's.

Let's start with Motown. If you want to talk about music that will last forever the Motown Sound is it. Motown got it's start in Detroit, Michigan and was founded by Berry Gordy, Jr. The first Motown single was released in 1959. That song was "Money (That's What I Like)" by Barrett Strong. Some of the artists who got their start on Motown are:

Nothing can beat the 70's. Back in the day, as I call it, lol, when radio was more inclusive. Nowadays everything is so segregated. If the song was good I liked it. Pop, R&B, Funk, Rock and Disco (yes I love disco, lol) were my favorites. Some music artists had short lived careers but most artists from the 70's seemed to last alot longer than their peers today. Here's a list of some of the music artists & songs I enjoyed during the 70's. This is just a sampling. There's just too many to name but what I've done is list the music artist and one of their songs. Many of the artists had numerous hits.:

What can you say about the 80's? That was definitely a music buying decade for me, lol. There was enough music to keep you listening for decades to come. Music videos helped bring the music to life in our homes. American and British music artists caught my attention. I also dubbed the 80's the 2nd British Invasion since there were so many British artists making it big. There seemed to be more one hit wonders during the 80's but those one hits were hot. Here's my list of 80's music artists along with one song listed for each artist:
